UMU Masaka campus raises over 20 million for Silver Jubilee complex


Uganda Martyrs University Masaka campus has raised a contribution of over 20 million shillings in cash and pledges during a fundraising luncheon that took place on Sunday 14th October 2018 at the campus in Bwala.The Woman MP for Masaka district Hon. Babirye Mary Kabanda who was the Guest of Honour encouraged her fellow MPs to combine efforts in ensuring that UMU realizes her dream of putting up structures that will help in accommodating the increasing student numbers. As part of the fundraising drive, Hon. Kabanda contributed UGX 12, 680,000 and urged other stakeholders to continue supporting all activities that will enable the university to become stronger especially in achieving the objective of imparting knowledge to the future generation.The Luncheon attracted various MPs from Masaka and the neighbouring districts, Alumni, parents, staff, students and other UMU stakeholders.

The fundraising Luncheon followed an Outreach activity that was carried out in Masaka town on Saturday 13th October 2018, where UMU students and staff worked together to clean the town as a way of giving back to the community, as the University celebrates 25 years of Excellence.
