Secondary school students fill up UMU nkozi campus
On Saturday 3rd March 2018, Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi Campus was filled with over a thousand students who came to attend the Open Day that was organized by the University (staff and students) in partnership with the Pan African Education Alliance (PEA).
The students got an opportunity to explore UMU’s exceptional academic programmes that have attracted national and international recognition, through the Faculties of Business Administration and Management, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of the Built Environment, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Health Science, Institute of Ethics, School of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Postgraduate Studies and Research, Service departments like; the Library, Registry, Finance, Quality Assurance, Chaplaincy, Outreach, ICT, Sports activities and the different Cultural displays.
The students also gave feedback on the day’s experience during the dialogue session that was facilitated by PEA. The theme for the dialogue session was; “Transforming society through innovative thinking”. This year’s Open Day was part of the Silver Jubilee Activities under the theme; “Celebrating 25 years of Excellence in the Footsteps of the Uganda Martyrs.”
