Re-vitalization of ACALISE farm operations

The 19th April 2018 was graced to kick-start the venture of re-instating UMU’s farm to the standard of a Regional Centre of Excellence. The launch ran under the theme “Re-vitalization of ACALISE farm operations”.

The principal investigator of the ACALISE Dr. Mwiine Julius emphasized that the operations of the farm have been and still are to be tailored to the Faculty academic agenda so as not to deviate to the priority of training agricultural professional.

This assertion was further supported by the Director of KVC (Kyengera Veterinary & Consultancy); that the operations are targeted to facilitate; scientific investigations, agriculture practical’s and skills capacity development. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. John Chrysostom Maviiri urged the team not to lose sight on establishing a sustainable & viable ecological set-up which in the long run promotes public health.
