Speaker Profile
Rev. Prof. John Chrysostom Maviiri is the Vice Chancellor, of Uganda Martyrs University


Prof. Katiuscia Cipri, the leader of the DALILA – Development of New Academic Curricula on Sustainable Energies and Green Economy in Africa. She is researcher at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She has a long scientific experience in renewable energy technologies, internal and external combustion engines, environmental analysis and she is author of a number of papers and publications on cryogenic systems, stirling engine and thermodynamic theory.
Mr. Peter Lugemwa is the Head of DALILA Project in Uganda Martyrs University. He is also a lecturer of entrepreneurship in the faculty of business administration and management of Uganda Martyrs University


Ms. Claire Kagga is the Managing Director of Renewable Energy Business Incubator (REBi) Limited. She is a Certified Inclusive Business Advisor and has provided consultancy services to a number of renewable energy enterprises. Claire is a Judge for business competitions for Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship students, a partnership program between Uganda Martrys University Nkozi and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, Italy.



Dr. Juliet Kyayesimira holds a PhD in Biological Sciences, MSc (Natural Resources, Ecology and Conservation) from Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Juliet is a Director at Center for Integrated Research and Community Development Uganda (CIRCODU). http://www.circodu.org.ug/

While at CIRCODU, she has been engaged in Sustainable Energy Resource Use and Conservation of the Environment. Gained skills in providing research consultancy-based support from more than 50 development agencies and innovative organisations locally and internationally. Been involved developing and implementing sustainable programs focusing on renewable energy and in providing multisectoral research support.

Additionally, Juliet is a lecturer in the department of Biological Sciences at Kyambogo University where she lectures post graduates’ students in conservation and natural resource management and under-graduates in several courses including Botany and Environment Science and management.
